The Camden County Audubon Society will present its third annual Wood Stork Birding Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Marys Middle School.
The festival will again host the popular live Birds of Prey show by Georgia Southern University’s Center for Wildlife Education from 11 a.m. to noon.
There will be free kids’ activities before and after the show, as well as food trucks.
Informational booths and demonstrations will be available in the main atrium of the school. Subject matter experts on a variety of bird and nature-related subjects will offer presentations in the adjacent conference rooms. Speakers include Melanie Furr, Bird Super Powers, at 9 p.m.; Tristen Dittman, e-Bird and Citizen Science, at 10 a.m.; Jill Helton, Gilman Rookery, at 12:05 p.m.; and Katie Eufemia, Nesting and Parenting Behaviors, 1 p.m.
The local Audubon chapter is partnering with the SMMS Bird Brains for this event and will make a special presentation to the club prior to the live raptor show.
This is a family-friendly event that strives to offer something for all ages and promote appreciation of our bird species.
Admission and parking are free. The school is located at 205 Martha Drive.
